Terms and Conditions Below
Terms and Conditions: We are no longer taking absentee bids via the internet. If you would like to bid on an item, please phone us at 773-465-3300 or fax us your bid(s) at 773-465-8873. Please phone us after you have faxed to verify that we receive it at 773-465-3300. Be sure to include the item #, description of the item, and the total amount of your bid for the item. Also include your name, address, credit card #, and credit card expiration date. Deadline for faxed bids is 2 P.M. Central Time on Auction Day. There will be an additional 15% buyer's premium which will be added to any purchases. 10 1/4% Sales tax will also be charged to Illinois buyers who do not have a dealer's resale number.

Do not bid on items that are too bulky to ship or too fragile to ship. For example, most furniture pieces will not be able to be shipped. Box lots and some group lots also may not be able to be shipped. A good example of an item too fragile to ship would be a Lladro figurine with petal flowers and no original box. Another example would be a Borsato figurine - it's delicate fingers would be too fragile to send through the mail. An example of a lot too bulky to ship would be a group lot of large pictures, box lots, furniture etc. Use common sense here, as the cost of shipping and packing an item can sometimes outweigh the cost of the item itself.

We no longer do our own shipping, unless it is something simple like coins or jewelry. So if you want the item you win shipped, we will take it to our local UPSstore, and have them wrap and ship the item. Whatever they charge us is what you will pay to have it shipped.

Some items may have reserves. Your bid will compete against other absentee bids, floor bidders, and possibly reserves at the live auction. When you leave an absentee bid you must make your best bid, and that is what is entered into our system. If you win an item at auction, you could get it for less than your maximum absentee bid. Absentee bids will be executed at the discretion of the auctioneer. Also, on rare occasions Direct Auction Galleries may miss executing an absentee bid. Direct Auction Galleries is not responsible for any missed bids. If you want an item badly, please take the time and come to the live auction.
Direct Auction Galleries also reserves the right to refuse any bids.

All Items are sold as/is. There is a 15% Buyer's Premium which will be added to all purchases. Coins, Currency, Stamps & Items shipped out-of-state will be exempt from sales tax. Items picked up from our location will be subject to 10 1/4% sales tax. Visa, MC, Disc or Amex Credit Card is Required to Bid. Those who physically pick up their items may pay with cash or approved check.

Good luck, and happy bidding!
